

The city has three Tiger Reserves (Tadoba, Melghat,Pench) and more than five sanctuaries (Sahadyri,Sindhudurg, Nagjira,Navegaon and Bor) as per "A K Khetrapal", Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife).
As per 2010 sensus Population of Tigers at Tadoba is 69 at Melghat its 35, Sahadyri -- Sindhudurg has 21 tigers, Nagjira-Navegaon -- 20 tigers and Bor -- 12 tigers.
Activities of the Maharashtra government have begun to gain more visitors and have gears up to promote the state on India’s tourist map.

ReplyDeleteGovernment is taking a good initiative to promote all spot near Nagpur . All the nature lovers are very happy about this news and with this should be done as soon as possible . Summer is best session to trace the tiger in Jungle I seen 2 in Tadoba in same season
