Dam & Lake

Wadgaon Dam :
                       An interesting place for a day’s outing in summer. It is near to Wadgaon.This Dam is about 45km from Nagpur off Chandrapur Road. Nearby is a huge statue of Sant Dhyaneshwar. Vena Dam is one of the most visited & recently used for generating electricity. The water requirements for the power plant have been allocated from Wadgaon Dam on the Vena River in the Nagpur District. This is a main sub river of Wardha river.


Gandhi Sagar Lake or Shukrawari Talao



                      Gandhi Sagar Lake is located right at the centre of Nagpur. It is also known as Shukrawari Talao & Jumma Talab Talao’ during the Bhonsla and British periods when the first Raghuji declared Nagpur as the capital of his domain in 1742. Metropolitan between mahal and cotton market localities and also infront of Raman Science Centre. This is very old lake since from 275 years. The lake looks more attractive in the night when its surrounding area is in,, by yellow mercury light. There is also a small garden there.

Ambazari lake :


 
                              The beautiful Ambazari Lake is one of the premier tourist attractions of Nagpur. The beautifully landscaped gardens that abut the lake is spread across 20 acres of land and is packed with funfilled activities for all ages and inclinations. Put on your walking shoes and take a natural walk on the outstanding walking trails that line the park. The lakefront is a perfect spot for picnics.
